I hate to believe it but today is the last day of engineering year 2, sem 1... and overall, this semester sure is an interesting year... and FULL with SURPRISES... and below are some of the things that happen in my 2nd year (as far as my memory concern)...
FIRST... the "notorious" project WARMAN COMPETITION
actually it is a competition where engineering students are given a question or rather an objective and so students are expected to come out with a device (or something else) that can successfully achieve that OBJECTIVE... so, i was so lucky to have been recruited into this team that consists of all the brilliant future engineers =)...
We set sail to the legendary JALAN PASAR to purchase the component after kha liang threw out this idea to have timers to control all the movement of the device (brilliant isn't it? i was amazed)
After the components are all in stock, it's time where our chief designer - BING start to brief us on his design and with no objection, construction began!!!
However, this prototype doesn't turn out to be like what bing expect to be...so, modifications is done and this is how it looks like...
This device takes about 8 weeks to be completed, together with a report that describe this device... When comes to report writting, when you have KEE in your team, basically you do not have to worry at all (see, that's why i say i m lucky=).
Here are some photos during the testing day, and it is also Wee Fon's birthday!
Apart from WARMAN, there is also this electronic mini project which i found it more and more interesting.. this is because i started this project with no understanding at all to the circuit but everything start to make sense when writing the report and of coz, bing's explaination.. In this mini project, i have got three credits, 1st: bing is my lab partner ; 2nd: kee's cousin sis example report as our guide line and lastly, our mini project (automatic fan) has got nothing to do with sounds... so Dr. Low has got nothing to ask but to throw this "common sense" question to us during our demo, " How many legs does your relay has?". We were stunt for a moment when he ask that and do not know exactly whether is he asking for the number of turns inside the coil. And finally bing answer "5 legs" and BINGO!!!
(To be honest, from week 1 till week 13, this is the only circuit i understand... haiz...)
The tasks, tests, demo and assignments allocated in the timetable this semester has got a pattern... it gets MORE & MORE from week 1 till week 12... and to your surprise, we have got assignment 2, mechanics test, computing lab test, mini project demo...etc, everything on the last two weeks... and that's why we have skipped one of the night to rush the assignment two drawings and report... AND FINALLY, everything is officially DONE!
This semester, i spend most of the time doing projects and assignment with friends.. the best part is that sometimes we take turn to overnight at either my house or ah bing's condo... and rushing report till late at night... Driving on KESAS back and fourth at late midnight... and also imitate Chong Woi's favourite quotation "Bu guan ni shi de lo. Tiao ni"... Those are the moment that i can get rid of thinking of ****... and this is the best solution for me to live happily... i do not know whether this is the life that i want but i m kinda used to it, though i was hard for me to have such a sudden change in my lifestyle... anyway, FRIENDS... THANK YOU VERY MUCH... wish that i have more times with you guys... and i too hereby apologize for anything that i did wrongly all these while... SORRY...
And there goes the 1st sem of year 2008... while everyone is having their eyes stick onto books and notes, i m still blogging and changing layout of my blog here... =p.. anyway, MAY ALL MONASHIAN SCORE WITH FLYING COLOUR IN THE FINAL...all the best!
Oh ya, thanks a lot to michele (Apple Chele) for helping me on the layout... i shall owe you a treat.. anything will do=)... That's all for this long long post... gonna seriously switch to study mode
P/S: So, how's my new layout? Do leave some comments ok. Thanks
