Kita kan bertemu lagi...

*The full Bali-mates =)

Looking back at the last post, it was like the most terrible time of all within the four years of uni life. Back then when it happened, it totally drifted my mood away. But things got really better eventually. For how everything turned out to be, I really would like to say a BIG thank you to the best tutor, Boon How. Without your help, guess I would have fail that paper and maybe even my FYP. And of coz, without your help, I wouldn't have such a wonderful trip in Bali. Time really flies, it is still very fresh in my mind about how this plan first came up to our mind and all the planning throughout the whole year.

*Bali... here we come =)

*Allow me to introduce our Mr. Organizer, Ishak Bing. Hehe... your plan was just awesome. Thank you.

*Miss Shirley aka ru peng you

*Mei... and

*June XD

*Ying =)

*Bei Bei or Fei Fei... I forgot what the tour guide called you...

*Jocelyn and...

*Ah Lek aka Monash's Arnold, just a bit off shape but still looking good =).

*Ting (PeiTing) and...

*Mr KarMun Lai aka BeBek

*Michele aka Miss Malou and her

*BlueBit... =)

Still remember the day when we met at LCCT and everyone suddenly got 'hyped-up' after Peiting nearly checked in her mobile phone. Excitement is in the air and after a not so complete 大家照, off we go to meet with the awaiting couple in Bali. I did not really sleep or rest throughout the whole journey, most of the time were spent talking nonsense with the couple sitting next to me. Well, I guess I have been a very 'professional' lightbulb for that 3 hours of flight.

*Sayonara Malaysia =).

* "我很无聊"

Upon arriving, everyone looked like as if they just went for a 3 days 2 nights mountain climbing without resting, and I guess we are even more exhausted after an hour of traffic jam to our apartment. After unloading, we walked all the way out to Legian Street for dinner, and I had my first 0.65 million meal, a plate of Fish 'n' Chip and a BOTTLE of coke =.=". Being a millionaire can be extremely headache, especially when you see so many zeroes on your bill and notes.

*At a warung on Legian Street. Hungry and tired

*Rare & Antique =)

The following two days are all about sight-seeing, food and of coz temple visiting. But before all these came into the schedule, we had some 'appetizers' visiting to the Batik house and Silver House.

*Ya... The 'appetizer' was indeed quite boring, as you can see from their pig face.

The first 'main course' served is the rice terraces field. It is sort of like a must to be appeared on your facebook Bali Trip album. Then, coming up next was the famous Gunung Batur. We had our first buffet lunch in a restaurant which can let you have a great view of that volcano mountain while enjoying your meal. Like the saying goes, 'The field on the other side is always greener' and we have 'The pork in Bali is always nicer' because all of us just went after the pork satay as if we never had pork before. But seriously, it really taste different and much nicer.

*TADA... The rice terrace...

*Taking photos is what we can do here, I think.

*And fast forward to the famous Gunung Batur

*Guess I was too busy with the beautiful Gunung Batur scenery and the food. Well here is one of the main character of our buffet lunch.

After that delicious pork lunch, we were brought to taste the famous and unique coffee, made fresh from the by product of a kind of animal named Luwak in Balinese/Indonesian. Well, despite of its expensive price, I don think I know how to appreciate such genuine coffee. I still prefer Nescafe =).

*Uncles demonstrating the initial stage of this unique coffee making process XD.

*This so called coffee shop is just so mother-nature-ly.

*Ok, time to introduce the coffee behind the lens.

*Don't judge the coffee by its cup-size, this row of liquid keep my eyes open till 4am in the midnight...

*Hmm.. I wonder what is exactly inside these coffee...

*It is only the first day and we are already quite close with our tour guide.

Finally after the coffee, we came to the first temple visit of the trip, Tirta Empul and followed by a visit to the Monkey Forest where Peiting just accidentally got bulied by Shir Ley. Poor thing. After the dinner, everyone is again in the drained form. Only left back a few of us who are still so energetic to stay awake and played a round of card game before we hit the sack.

*Here we are in Tirta Empul

*Again, photographing session =)

*Initially I have a thought of bringing my swimming trunk to join them, think again, better don ruin this holy pool.

*Ladies & gentlemen, welcome to the Aggressive Street. If you don intend to buy anything, make your pace as fast as possible to the exit before you get 'caught'.

*Hopefully they can't see me XD.

*The Monkey Forest aka PeiTing's nightmare-land XD

* "Hello People =)"

*Karmun: "I don know you o. You make her cry liao you TAM her back o"

*Poor bing, now you have another so called 'rival' besides yi mei. XD.

*Our 2nd night dinner =).

*Don be fooled by its appearance. This is nothing but SPICY.

The next day was almost all about temple visiting, started with the Royal Temple, which I think the ultimate destination of this temple is the tower where we fit the 12 of us on it and took a very sweaty 大家照.

*Shirley: "Everyone! welcome to this... errr... *I forgot the name of the place*"

*Time for group picture, again =)

*Shirley, nice pose you have. LOL...

*And also camwhoring with DSLR.

*This is what we called PRO =). Ada gaya punya.

*Up to the tower for our sweaty group photo.

Then we had our lunch , accompanied by the rice terrace field view. Again, 'the sambal in Bali is always nicer', imagine we almost finished that restaurants sambal and they got stunned why this bunch of people can eat Mushroom and Chicken chop with, sambal -_-". After the lunch, we continue with temple visiting again. It is called the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple , a temple where it is located on a lake up on a mountain. The rain did not stop us from making our way as near as possible to the temple. From far, it is as if there is a whole stretch of moving umbrellas along the edge of the lake. After dipping our leg into the lake water, we tour around the garden of the temple while making our way back to the entrance to head for the next temple.

*Lunch time again =).

*This can be quite good to be served with sambal.

*And we are finally here, the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, one of my favourite temple =).

*Despite raining, we are still happy with umbrellas.

*望什么望,没有看过美女啊!

*爱情“玩水”饱 =)

On our way to Tanah Lot Temple, we stop by to have a snack of rabbit meat satay =). To be simple, what we did in Tanah Lot temple is nothing much but to take photo with the wave, and of coz to do some shopping along the street. Then, time to introduce the best dinner of all, the pork rip. Oh my, the taste can really be compared to the cha siew I used to have in Shah Alam or Glenmarie. It is so nice that Bing himself order 2 rows of that just to satisfy his hunger towards pork rip =). That night ended with the visiting of the monument specially built for the bomb attack victims back in 2001/2002.

*Here we are at Tanah Lot =)

*Like I said, what we do the most here is to take picture with the wave.

*So we wait...

*... and wait (yawn)...

*... I sense the wave is coming. Come, lets pose!

*... Is it done yet?... I pose until very tired liao

*... wow...

*... OMG... I am all wet...

* "I don want take liao la!!!"

*Poser betul betul...

* hehe... =)

*The twilight view of Tanah Lot.

*Starving at that moment so there is only the 'side-kick' of the night.

*... and the 'villain'...

*... together with the 'remaining' of our main character, pork ribs.

The third day morning started with an extremely tiring water sport, surfing. Thanks to our no-licence instructor Mr Karmun Lai, we manage to stand on the board and let the wave to drift us all the way for a few seconds before being 'consumed' by the sea water, again. While we are having our 'hard time' struggling with the wave, the rest of them were doing their shopping around Kuta Town, as well as 'cat fighting' =D.

*Say bye bye to Kuta Town.

Then, is time for a shift of environment, from the apartment to the long awaiting villa, located somewhere in the southern part of Bali island. No doubt, this villa really amazed all of us, especially the swimming pool which is just directly besides the living & dining area. All the rooms are spacious enough for you to just roll around and the toilets are just so special. It is as if you are showering under a tree in the jungle.

*Hold your breath as the upcoming pictures are awesome =D.

*Path way to the villa.

*The Living Hall.

*The Dining Area.

*The pool side =).

*The private swimming pool =)

*Way to my room.

*The overview of the Capung Bawah Villa.

*Right outside my room.

Before we continue to indulge ourselves in this luxury, we were brought to a Spa House whereby we get body massage, body scrub and anything that has to do with spa for 2 hours. For the first time, I am paying to be 'molested' by others and be treated as a 'sandwiches' as I had my body cover with some kind of liquid and then covered up with a thin layer of sarung. And of coz, for the first time I am sharing a bath tub with a guy, half naked -_-"... haha... But it was a very relaxing 2 hours after all. Oh ya, I almost forgot someone just misplace the disposable underwear onto his head. That was really epic and I don think anyone of us will ever forget.

* "Are you talking about me?"

After everyone is being energized, we then head towards to the nearby beach for our seaside dinner. The food wasn't that attracting, but the atmosphere itself is unique enough to compensate everything. We spent the rest of the night stuffing into the entertainment room for Pictionary, whereby everyone of us demonstrate our so called drawings skill and creativity. Yea, writing out a complicated algebra equation is indeed very hard XD. haha...

*Dinner by the beach =).

*Some photographing session again before the dinner.

*And also a walk along the seaside =).

*Time for dinner.

*And again, photographing session again after the dinner -_-".

*Shirley: "为什么有点臭臭的?"
PeiTing: "Ya, I smell something funny also"
Michele: "Malou! 很臭咯!"
Jocelyn: *fingers on the nose"
ChinYing: "I wanna faint liao"
YiMei: "不好意识。我放屁"

*Credit to Yi Mei for spotting a 'sunset' right behind us.

*and so, the 'trend' continue with ladies first.. =)

*and followed by the guys.

4th day, hmm... The moody feeling somehow hit on me when I woke up in the morning. Probably because the trip is meeting its end very soon. But that feeling itself was quickly washed away when I saw Karmun came out from his room with that 'morning' look and the next thing is that you find him inside the pool -_-". Good Morning!

*How nice to have a pool, just few steps away from your room.

*Good Morning!

*Breakfast time!

*With only eggs -_-". Get it fast, while stock last.

After clearing every single piece of food available in the kitchen, we headed to Nusa Dua beach for water sport activities. 350,000 rupia just 'poof' away after being treated like a kite, drifting around the sea and finally being thrown into the water, deliberately. Chin Ying, on the other hand, spent her whole afternoon talking about a local punya family tree. Sorry to keep you so boring throughout the whole afternoon =(.

*We are all wet =)

In the evening, we spent it in the Uluwatu temple where I need to be partially blind to make sure my spec will not be taken away by our far far distance cousins. Last night, last dinner, we finally get to sit together properly, with our dearest tour guides. Again, the food wasn't the main attraction, it is the togetherness that made the last dinner unforgettable. Since it is the last night, most of us wouldn't wanna waste our 200 ringgit per night, so despite being quite dizzy and late at night, mostly all of us still insisted to jump into the pool =).

*Thanks to them, I need to be semi-blind -_-"

*Making our way to see the scenery behind.

*Reminds me of Great Ocean Road.

*We spent quite a long time here, to see the last sunset in Bali.

*ChongWoi: "You smell something funny or not?"
YiMei: "不是我啦!我没有放屁!"

* "Paiseh... Is my leg"

*Heading back for our last dinner.

*While waiting for dinner to be served.

*Chee Hong, the toilet is just beside -_-"

*BBQ dishes =).

*The 'dessert' =D

Time really flies, it was our final day in Bali. Nothing much was done besides fully utilizing the pool, again but this time each of us has just become diver. Oh ya, forgot to mention about the not-satisfying-at-all breakfast that we had. Thought they will be inputing more eggs or toasts for the breakfast after seeing the hungry side of us during the previous breakfast, but instead of that, they further decrease the amount of food until I don even felt a thing in my stomach.

* "I can fly!"

*FYI, they are trying to take off my pants, underwater. Moral of the story, do not bet with girls
-_-"

*The girls' attempt. Check out the next epic picture.

*Zoom in at your own risk XD. *dancing*

*My idea ended up with only 5 people =(

It was 1pm and there goes a farewell with this lovely villa (well, not to the service but to the villa itself) and march towards the girl's paradise, SHOPPING -_-". Yea, to make it short, the last day is actually all about shopping and shopping and shopping. The most remarkable thing of the day was that Karmun and Peiting almost have to say bye bye to us and continue to stay in Bali for another few more days. They almost missed their flight. Buddy, no worries, if shopping doesn't suits you, I can assure that you missed nothing but a few plates of local food and some soda gembira.

*The famous Babi Guling. Chei Lin, this is what you missed =).

*Fast forward after all of us spent the whole afternoon shopping.

*Karmun PeiTing, this is what you have missed.

*At the airport, at last.

*Last 大家照.

*Farewell Bali.

It is just so hard to believe that 6 days of Bali Trip just ended. Throughout the 6 days, we experienced how terrible it is to be sitting in front and looking at the car in front being just so extremely close to you as if it almost bang into our car. Throughout the 6 days, we learn all kinds of indonesian/bali stuff, whereby majority of them are all about BANG SAT CHIO, as well as the PLUS PLUS happy ending XD. Throughout the 6 days, we shared laughter together, we shared happy moments together, we shared our story in the swimming pool ("I am an exchange student and I like to exchange stuff", good one Karmun) and most important, we shared our last holiday together before each and everyone of us begin to diverge into their own path of life.

*And of coz not to be missed out, we witness a new born couple in this trip. I bet it was a wonderful piece of memory for both of you.

*Happy moments just pass by as if it is Just A Dream.

*Going to miss all the beautiful scenery...

*... the villa...

*... the time we spent...

*... and not to forget all the fun and laughter throughout the whole trip. Miss all of it, very much.

This post might be boringly long, but I just want to put that piece of memory we had into words so that it will always be here even though some of us might forget the happiness that we shared in Bali. Despite of just a short 6 days trip, I really enjoy myself very much and you guys really make my last holiday a great and memorable one.

P/S: To both our tour guide, Mr Urip and Mr Magila. You might not be reading this but I just want to put my appreciation into words here. You two are not just our tour guides, but someone who made us feel like we are being at home in Bali. Not sure about the rest but I personally felt the sense of belonging in Bali, thanks to both of you. You two just made Bali a home far far away from home to me. If it is possible, I wish my next visit to Bali will not be a tourist, but as a friend of yours. Just like what you sang during the last day before we went to the airport:

*"Dan mungkin bila nanti, kita kan bertemu lagi..."

Yes, we will meet again someday. Till then, take care and I wish you two all the best. Same goes to the rest of my Bali-mates.

*珍重
