*MEC Fund Raising
Phew... Finally the first tedious assignment is done... This is just only the fourth week of the new semester but the work load seems to be very similar to the one I once experienced at the end of last semester... As usual, we practice the typical "ritual" by rushing assignment till late at night and sleep side by side in my living room for just a couple of hours... I really can't imagine how it's going to be during this end of semester...
Ok, let's get back to the topic... Ya, fund raising. Why? Because we need money to buy the parts for our precious RC car and other maintenance stuff (This hobby is seriously drilling hole constantly in your pocket). The committee came up with this idea to sell crispy puff and Domino Pizza in the school for one whole week and the desired profit was expected to meet RM 500... Do not be surprise, this amount can only buy us few rims, tire, a battery pack and perhaps a battery charger.

Throughout the whole week, many classes and lectures were skipped, but I m the only lucky one that is able to attend most of it while the others were busy shouting "Crispy Puff !! Domino Pizza!!" at the booth there...
One thing that is most entertaining when we were on duty at the booth is to look around for hot-chic (I m not a pervert)... Now only I realise that actually Monash do have quite a lot of beautiful ladies... Especially at peak hour where the cafeteria were congested with whole lots of chic walking around... (I m definitely not a pervert)... We have came out one concept of describing girls, which is to compare them with cars... Below are the examples:
Sport rim - nowadays you can see girls came to school with a short jeans pant or dress that is so short that even my towel has a bigger area than those outfits does, we call it sport rim. Why? Because it's sporty =). And value such as 15 inch, 17 inch or 19 inch describe how long is their leg being exposed to the air.
Rear bumper / Exhaust - backside
Spoiler - Hair style
Intercooler - descibe those girls who are wearing spagetti strip
Fairlady - Like what the name indicate, fair punya lady lah
Carbon fiber body kit - The opposite of "Fairlady"
Imported cars (BMW, Lambo) - Girls from other courses
Local cars - Girls in Engineering school
There are still a lot of description that I m not able to put it into words as my engelishes not very good. Ok, back to fund raising... Overall, the whole fund raising was kinda successful. We manage to hit the profit and earn more than what we expected. Though the entire event was tremendously tiring, but it's one good experience. Now we have enough money to buy the parts that we want.
Finally, a big applause to everyone that make this whole event a successful one. Special thanks to Jason and Kha Liang for willing to drive all the way to PJ to collect the puff and pizza. Thanks to YC for helping at the financial stuff. Thanks bing for that microwave oven. Thanks Wee Fon and also Bao Li for helping to help out at the booth. Also not forgetting Fong who make the whole booth fill with laughter. "Hot Hot Cili Padi Crispy puff"
