Weekdays & Weekends

*This picture illustrate exactly what I do throughout the whole 12 weeks.

I shall hereby concludes the chapter of Wrath of The Internship from now on. In fact not really as in 'now on' because today is already the end of my first week of the grand 4th year in university. Ya, hate to admit it but I have finally made it to this very final year of my tertiary study. Things are just happening as if I just entered MUFY yesterday and *POOF* I am now one year away from being labeled as UNEMPLOYED. Ok, try not to off track too much from what I initially wanted to talk about here. Yes, absolutely correct, today's topic will be my wonderful days in this company where I undergone my 12 weeks of internship, or preferably be known as 'being-kuli-ship"

On weekend, after 3 weeks of internship...

*Finally a day out from the factory =)... FRESH AIR!

*It is of course the long-waited, Malacca Food Trip =)...

*... with our Guest of Honour all the way back from Melbourne to Penang and to KL then Malacca...

*... and this is our tour guide of the day, so first stop will be...

*... to 'kidnapped' her and...

*... make her bring us to good foods around Malacca as well as...

*... nice places (Surprisingly our tour guide never been to A' Famosa after living in Malacca for almost 2 decades)

*Anyway, credit to Shir Ley for being such a great tour guide. I believe everyone had fun, and...

*... some even found their true potential and wish to just stay on that pose forever at that spot...

*... while some just manage to decipher out that Coke has been so important since 1511 =).

During weekdays...

As some of you might know or might not know, I had my internship in this company called _________ Sdn Bhd. But the company itself is not the interesting part. The most interesting part is the people that I met throughout this whole industrial training. AND how I went through this period in one piece. First and foremost, of course it is you my 'dear' supervisor in charged. Hmm... where should I start? Ok, let's talk about how was I being treated. Before doing my internship, I really have high expectation that I will be really treated like a so called mini engineer, perhaps following my supervisor to observe on what he do frequently as an engineer and sometimes maybe I could even give a helping hand if I am capable of. However, this supervisor of mine really ruin my expectation on my internship at the very 1st day of my work. This is the epic dialogue that I will never ever forget in my entire life

Him: "This is the SCM production plant... bla bla bla... and these are the bla bla bla bla..."
Me: "So how does this homogenizer actually operate"
Him: "Don't ask la boy ok, don't ask. I also don't know. Go internet and search for yourselves"

(Dulan-o-meter rising) *Face Expression - 0_o* *Current Status: Moderately Disappointing*

Me: "Ok, I will try to go search for myself. Thanks."

Back to office....

Him: "Boy, you mecha.. what?"
Me: "Mechatronics."
Him: "Mechatronics. Hmm... very hard to give you projects and do one. We will see how la ok, boy"

(Dulan-o-meter rising extremely fast) *Face Expression - 0_0* *Current Status: Very Disappointing*

And back to Food Trip again =)...

*After one day in Malacca, it is time for some KL Foods =)

*So basically I think the photographers took food pictures more than human pictures...

*... till the extend it almost turns Resonance of Life into... hmm... Taste of Life? 0_o

*That's why it is called the food trip anyway *saliva at the edge*

*See... it is FOOD... *saliva flowing out*

*... and FOOD... *saliva all over the floor*

*0_o... eh, ini bukan makanan pun...

*... and FOOD again... *sri petaling flood already*

*ok... beh tahan liao... be right back... in search for food...

*Besides all the famous hawker stall foods around KL, we went to Tenji @ Mont Kiara as well.

*So... Food pictures again...

*... and again...

*... and again... ok... This is enough!

*Same people were found in Look Out Point as well after their appearance at Mont Kiara's Tenji several hours before.

And back to weekdays...

And for your information, he is still telling me that "We will see how la boy ok" on my week 9 of my internship when I asked him about any project that he can assigned to me. Ever since then, I am of course highly disappointed with his attitude as my supervisor. I do not know whether my expectation is too high or what, but this supervisor will tends to give all his paper works to me and use his unbeatable imagination to actually convince me that as if I can learn a lot of engineering related stuff while doing his paper works. Come on, you are not talking to a kindergarten kids. Even kindergarten kids understand that by keying in your stock item number into Microsoft Excel will not get me to any ENGINEERING RELATED stuff.

And here comes another great weekends =)...

*Initial plan was to go for bowling...

*... then a well-dressed dinner at...

*... Fullhouse Cafe...

*... for Chin Ying's 21st Birthday pre-celebration...

*... and we actually manage to make her surprise but too bad can't get much surprise facial expression from her. XD

*Hopefully you are happy with that =).

Back to weekdays again...

Fine... This post can be so long till your monitor screen could not even accommodate if I continue to list down all the epic lines coming out from his mouth. Not to say that he never really give me anything to do beside his paper works, but I believe that he could have done better than that. Anyway, after realizing that my supervisor will only lead me to a point where I will just sit in front of my computer and stare at blank space thinking "Hmm, what can I write in my report?"... So, I have found a not-so-good solution but is better than just sitting there and wait for work, I decided to go and search for works to do. This is when I met few other trainees and a technician who works in this company for decades. Despite not being very knowledgeable, I am proudly to tell you that he actually taught me a lot of stuff that I wanted to learn based on his experience. But most of the time he is always involved in maintenance works around the company. And so starting from then, I have did all kinds of stuff, including changing fluorescent light bulb in the toilet that belongs to the CEO (wow... what a BIG BIG project, isn't it? Ya right -__-") to sending documents from one department to another department (Hi, nice to meet you. I am the new office boy here -__-").

Hello weekends =)...

*Here we come, Broga Hill =)...

*Most of them went there for photographing and sunrise viewing...

*... while I went there for my nap =).

*When I am fully awake, is already the last group picture taking and time to go down the hill.

Back to weekdays...

Some other interesting people I met in this entire 12 weeks is of course the Head of Department. Well, talking about this engineer, he is really one classic workaholic. Can you imagine that a Chinese actually went to work on the very first day of Chinese New Year and surprisingly he took a 3 days off from work during Thaipusam? Hmm... maybe he has already converted to Indian XD. But anyway, the interesting part is the way he communicate with his subordinate, including myself of course. Ok, not really communicating but rather a short-and-speedy-on-the-spot lecture because he is able to compress everything that he wanted to say in just maybe at most 20 seconds. So even if you are at your most energetic status, you most likely need a recorder before you talk to him so that you can actually play back what he just said. Hmm... I have a suggestion, maybe he can just buy a microphone. Whenever he wants to talk to anyone, just talk to the microphone and send the voice file to that particular person. I believe that it will save a lot of time and energy =).

On one of the weekend =)...

*Meet the trainees for 2009/2010 =)... and with a Management Associate.

*Some came all the way from New Zealand (left) while some are from Perlis (right)...

*... while some came from Uni Melbourne (left) and Terengganu (right).

*These bunch of 'siao-cha-bo' keeps my internship not that boring from time to time =)

Weekdays... again...

Lunch time, I would say, will be the time which I looked forward to it the most everyday. This is because during lunch time, I found fun in working in this company. And surprisingly none of my lunch mates are from engineering department, most of them are from QC and Project department. Despite of being the only guy among the rest of them sometimes, I am actually quite happy of it. These girls sometimes would talk about their *ahem* 'period' stuff or discuss about which inner wear shop is having promotion. And sometimes one of them even come and jokingly asked me "You wanna follow us go shopping together? We go buy bra =)". They must have mistreated me as a girl, as usual. Even sometimes go out for lunch, the waiter/waitress will not bother to even realize my existence as a guy and said "Leng luis, nak minum apa?". And sometimes one of them would say "Sana ada satu leng chai XD". Hmm... Kinda like getting bullied more than I bully them isn't it? But I think without them, my days in this company would be very hard and depressing. So... if you girls are reading this, thank you so much for these 12 weeks of 'bulliness'. I am glad to have know each and everyone of you =).

On the last weekends =(... so fast...

*We had our last lunch in Garden @ The Curve.

*Primary reason was to farewell Yeat Teng (middle) as she will be going back to Aussieland on that night.

*... another reason is that Yien really miss her very much after she left the company for more than a month ago XD.

*Hmm... will never get to see this 'fish-like' face that often anymore XD

*Anyway, glad to know you all... Take care and see you all real soon =)

So I think this long winded post has basically summarize my days of internship. and maybe this can be included into the Appendix part of my report XD. Hmm... Human are really one of a kind. When you are having something, you tends to have tonnes of complains and don't really appreciate what you are having. Till when that thing is gone, only then you will start to miss it and reminisce back the memories you have with that thing. And yes, I am indeed missing my days of internship now, right at this very moment. Anyway, hopefully this feeling will not last long and someday I will be able to have lunch with that bunch of friendly lunch mates again. Till then, take care and all the best to you all =)

*Good bye Manufacturing Office =). 'see ya soon' XD (Choi!!! 大吉利市!)

P/S: Final year project? 4th Year? Engineering? Hmm....

*Is still quite narrow in front and I can hardly see you...

2010-02-23

A Block of Ice =)

*Knock knock*

*Is YiMei Chew at home? Just drop by to wish her...*

Happy Birthday Yi Mei

Is that *Knock knock* thingy familiar? hehe... that was your first message to me in MSN. Anyway, hope you will enjoy reading this little present for you, all the way from Malaysia. Everyone of us here misses you a lot. How are you doing lately sis? Hope everything is fine over there and may all your wishes come true.

*I wish you
身体健康
万事如意
心想事成
恭喜发财
..
(hehe... Chinese New Year ma... SHUN BIAN LA =)
..
青春美丽
学业猛进

*and of course, I wish you and Max happy forever =).

Well, another typical birthday wish post again. Ok, I shall try my best to make this not that typical and boring. Comes to think of it, I never really celebrate your birthday before. Last year in Melbourne during your birthday, we were still consider strangers despite knowing each other by names and as for this year, we are in two different places. Haiz... What a life. But anyway sis, hope you have a wonderful birthday blast this year =).

Photobucket
*Don't just keep eating... XD

*Remember to take more photos of yourself and upload it to fb =).

*So, let's have some Sejarah class okie? (ok, this is already typical, dude -__-")

Since when I get to know you? Hmm... this is a very good question. In fact I don't really remember when I know that there's this girl called Yi Mei at Monash and one more thing, I don't remember seeing you in sunway campus actually XD. Mana lu sembunyi pada masa itu? But one thing I am sure, you don't look that friendly in appearance like how you are now. Perhaps to strangers, you tends to release this cold aura that can almost freeze everyone instantly at the moment they looked at you. So cold that it can even freeze my mouth till I don even know how to smile and say 'Hi' anymore. Hehe... That was your first impression to me. I don't know how others might think but to me, you are really one block of ice at first XD.

*See... cool mou?

*No matter she is paying attention on something serious...

*... or curi-makan-ing, is always co ICY COLD *freezed*

*Jangan geram ah... chill chill =)

As far as my memory concerned, the first time I see you in real person was the time our Great PR Manager of Bettina, Mr Jason Tao threw a magnificent party/gathering at the beginning of the year when we just arrived at Melbourne...err... not really beginning actually as I remember that night most people left our house quite early because of overflowing of assignments and tests. Anyway, yup... that was the first time I saw this block of ice, skating through the corridor in 29 Bettina XD. After that gathering thingy, you and your fellow housemates were among the frequent Guest of Honour of Bettina when it comes to any birthday celebration in our house, this include Jason's one and mine =). During that period, this block of ice started to melt, little by little.

*To illustrate what I meant by melting, this is a very good example =)

*... and this might be half melted...

*... ok... ini sudah jadi air XD

And here comes the Ice Breaking Ceremony... What else if it wasn't the Curry Chicken Dinner Night! That was our first dinner in your house. That night was really an awesome night. All thanks to Mr. Bing for being such a great talker, keeping the topics continuously flowing throughout the entire night. And of course, not forgetting as well the great dishes that all of you girls made on that night. That night was really a memorable one, with good foods and wine plus different stories from each and everyone of us.

*Not forgetting our last trip in Australia @ Ballarat...

*... Grampians...

*... and finally Lakes Entrance.

Life, is just so interesting sometimes. It all just started with merely knowing each other by our name, and then we began to know each other, began to talk, to attend to those birthday celebration, to have dinner, to chat more, to have trip together and last but not least, to have OOVOO along with Chong Woi they all almost every night during your last week in Malaysia =). Despite the time is quite short, but I am glad we have so many unforgettable moments and food trips together, and of course I am happy to see how our friendship has turned out to be till now. Hopefully everything will be even better than last year and again, I wish you all the best in the days ahead and be happy as always. We shall be seeing each other again this year end! Take care sis =).

*Can't wait for the next trip to come, and I wouldn't mind if it is Malacca again...

*... and if you are reading this, Max, it will be great if you are tagging along this time =)...

*... so that we will have more 'interesting' photo (joking XD)

*Next time come back remember to give her a real hug, not like the one in Malacca.

*Hmm... maybe we can have a tour to Penang and it shall be you 3 Penangites 'feeding' us till we drop our stomach on the floor XD.

*For sure, this guy and his housemates in tagging along...

*And hopefully it will be as fun as the one we had before =)

Photobucket
*Before we meet again this year end, do take care always in Melbourne =)

*Once again, allow me to say this again in another language...
一,二,三。。。

*生日快乐。。。许个愿吧!
(没看过人这样许愿。赢了咯你 =)。)

P/S: Hehe... When you come back, apa sai places and outings e.g. sing k we LONG ZHONG sapu ka liao... ok? So I shall be waiting here in Malaysia la... and see you soon sis...

*Take care and be happy always =)
