Life @ Melbourne

*The all-batangs-picture.

It's been almost half a year since the first day I reach here and it will be soon before I leave this place... At the very beginning, I don't really enjoy the life here, as in I can't get used to this sudden transition of living environment. First, definitely will be the weather here. People always said that Australian weather is just like a woman, it changes so drastically that you thought that you are in Egypt for the first second, and suddenly you get thrown to Antarctica at the next second.

*This is how cold it can be XD...

Then, time for some personal opinion about the people here. This is what I have been told by most people before I came over here. They said: "Australians are really very nice! They can be so friendly that you might think that they are your closest buddy in the world"...

... Ya right...

No matter how clean a toilet can be, there is still some left over dirt hidden under the place where you did your daily business. Same goes to the people here, some of them can be SIBEH KANASAI that makes you feel that as if you are walking side by side with some apes. Perhaps I am so 'lucky' enough to meet with the 'rare species' of the people in the city of 3,700,000 worth of populations...

*Bettina's CFO is lost.

But things went slightly better as time goes... Again, starting with the weather here. Yes... I am falling in love with the cooling environment here... In Australia, you don't get to have thunderstorm often... You don't get to sweat often... You only get to stay chilled often =)... And about the people here, AGAIN, of course, those Australian that were previously mentioned are still running around like monkeys everyday, till I thought that I am having my lectures and tutorials at the Melbourne Zoo. However, I finally get to meet with the pure breed of Australian. They can be incredibly friendly and polite, where you get to have people asking you "How are ya?" or maybe "How's it going?" almost everyday. If you were to walk to uni early in the morning, you will get countless of greetings from the neighbors, which really makes your morning a Good one =).

*Good Morning!

Where do you get this in M'sia, unless you are extremely close to your neighbor. But even if you do not have such good neighbors who always say "Selamat Pagi" or "ZHO SUN!" to you every morning, don feel down and appreciate it, because this is not the worst you can get. SOME neighbors can be so free to watch how you park your car and make a very detail complain to you, as if you do not have a driver's license. Some are even so aggresive that when you park your car slightly into their self-defined teritory, they would climb over with parang on the hand to pick a fight with you.

*Why am I talking about my neighbors in M'sia? Get back!

Life here were rather carefree and... hmm... great I would say. Although I have to walk to school almost everyday and rely on public transport to travel from one place to another, still... I don't really feel exhausted and most of all, I don sweat =). And the public transport here are quite good in terms of their schedule. And for this month, it's even free of charge, if you were to travel to any place within Zone 2 =). So, weekends in September have been the "Grocery-Shopping Day" for us... Because is free =D!. BUT, I did being such a fool to validate my bus ticket on the first weekend of September, partly because I thought that it was just a rumour or something, and most of all, the ***king bus driver did not put any sign and don't even bother to tell me about that. I would rather that he told me "Hey you fool, today is free-LAH!" than laughing out loud when I slot my bus ticket into the machine. F**K!

*But still, I prefer to travel by bus more than taxi. Because when you are going out with a whole bunch of people, taking taxi will end up like this...

Talking about the crazy stuffs I did here, not much but there were still something that I think I wouldn't have do so in Malaysia. One of those will be alcohol (I am definitely not an alcoholic). Most of the birthday party that I attended this year, the wine, tequila and vodka are the few common 'special guests' that will always be there. Worst to worst, at least the beer will be there if you can't see any of those 'special guests' in the list. Hmm... At first, I don't find it fun to pour tonne of alcohols into your stomach and then 'pouring' it out again from your stomach. Only then I realize that fun part after I experienced it myself. The fun part is just the short moment where you are still conscious but not as conscious as you used to be, and not as unconscious as when you already fail to recognize yourselves when you look into the mirror. So to have this situation, follow my formulae that I have been working so hard on myself as a guinea pig.

*Red wine is not in the list.

For beer -
Alcohol: 4%
Drink 2 bottles, with each 375ml

Tequila -
Alcohol: 38% to 40%
Take only 2 to 3 shots

Vodka -
Alcohol: 35% to 50%
Take only 2 to 3 shots

If you go according to what I have listed out above, you will get to experience the the 'conscious but not so conscious' state. And the best part is that, you get everything that you paid for the liquer, because you don puke out at last. Why? Because those were what I had and I manage to sleep not so well all the way till morning with a little hangover.

*See, I can still stand straight. You can't be weaker than me I presume.

Hmm... Time really flies...

*So fast that I can't imagine that I will be entering the most miserable final year of my tertiary study...

*So fast that I can't imagine that it is already entering spring now and there goes the cooling winter...

*So fast that I can't imagine that 2 more months, I will be leaving here soon...

*So fast...

*I will definitely miss this place very much.

*Partially because Melbourne is really such a nice city...

*With lot of unique buildings...

*Nice food... as well as...

*The food we cooked ourselves.

*... and also the home made steak...

But most importantly...

*...is the people here that made my life here a great one...

*... and that is the reason I like the life here so much...

P/S: When you think Famous Amos has the best cookies in the world... Think again... because I had one of the best and giant cookies of all... So big that I can't resist to take a picture with it though I am in my semi-lion-in-style hairdo after showering...

*Cookies from Morton... Ok... Good night everyone... I shall not responsible for any nightmare after seeing this picture of mine XD

What is Teh-O-Ice-Limau?

*Before...

*... and After... Now available in the cinema near you! Be hurry while stock last!

Once upon a time, there is this two dudes wondering around the street after school time. And buddy A suggested to go to one of the nearest mamak stall to have their lunch. So here comes the first stupid question from buddy B...

Buddy B: " What is mamak? Can eat one ah? "
Buddy A: " You never been to mamak before?

So as the conversation continued, they reach to the mamak stall. After settling down, a 'mamak' came over and ask...

Mamak:
" *Thick indian accent* Eh boss, makan-apa?"
Buddy A: " Bagi saya satu Teh-O-Ice-Limau dulu. Makan nanti kejap. *looking at Buddy B* what you want to eat? "

And here comes the second stupid question of the day from buddy B, again...

Buddy B: " What is that what Teh-O-what Limau? "
Buddy A: " OMG... Teh-O-Ice-Limau you never drink before? "
Buddy B: " No... I drink Ice Lemon Tea before... Why they sounded so similar? "

-_-"... If you wonder who is this pathetic Buddy B who never even went to mamak and drink Teh-O-Ice-Limau before at the age of 14, let me tell you who is him. His name is Keat Ming, if you know who is him. But anyway, he is not the main concern. Most importantly, I would like to dedicate this blogpost to my buddy as a little gift and wish him...

*Happy 21st Birthday, You Kong... Forgive me with such inappropriate introduction.

And for your info, the "Once-upon-a-time" above is not really some kind of lame joke story that comes out from my mind. In fact, that marks the beginning of our 7 years friendship, or perhaps brotherhood. Because people who do not know us tends to ask this question >> "Are you two twins?". Apart from being skinny and short at that time, I don really see any similarities between the two of us. Otherwise, I would have been in local television program as well, isn't it? XD... Anyway, it is my honour to be kinda alike with you, buddy =).

*Black and White.

To be exact, I actually know you more than 7 years. Not through TV, but through one of the tuition that we once attend before during primary school. Honestly, that time you really had this face which says "Hey, come hit me". Haha... But after we start knowing each other during choir, only that I realize you are such a good and caring friend. And in case you forgot, we were once having our 'sniper' aiming at the same person, but unfortunately you have your 'trigger' pulled before I did and it just got that person 'head shot' in one shot... You understand what I am crapping about isn't it, buddy? XD

*Does this picture rings the bell? =)

Perhaps the most memorable thing were those days when you are still living in Sri Petaling. Going to mamak were sort of like some daily routine to us till it got quite boring at times. So what is the alternative? Stay at home? Ya right... So we went over to Bukit Jalil to disturb our dearest big sister... What we do? Anything you could imagine... and don think of letting your imagination go 'wild'. What I meant of 'anything' is anything you can do with your best buddies, and the most we did was doing heart to heart chat. Those are the days that we have our friendship started to build up and I really do appreciate it very much.

*The pirated F.I.R.

*Look at how much we have change in less than a year. I wonder how will we look like in 10 years time.

*Somehow you the way you hold us kinda wrong... haha...

*Jason and you =).

*During Khar Yee's birthday.

*Can I borrow these cupcakes and treat it as your birthday cake for this year =)?

*What a warm family photo XD

*The 4 high voltage light bulb... Sooooo bright...

But ever since you moved to Serdang, we seldom come out together and sit down to have a good chat, and with Li Shuang moved even further into Bukit Jalil area, going to Bukit Jalil hill have become a history. No doubt that we seldom share our personal stuff with each other like we used to be last time, but I am really glad that till today, we are still manage to hold this friendship as tightly as ever. I came across a friend telling me that friends are people who comes and goes in your life. Some might come into your life only for that particular short time, while some might stay in your life longer, being side by side with you and always be ready with a helping hand for you in case you need it. Buddy, no matter how long will our friendship last, I am glad that throughout this 7 years, you have been a very caring buddy that walks side by side with me and always be ready with your helping hand for me. Thanks =)

*Everybody loves Kong =).

*Kong and Shuang.

*Nick, don't be angry ok. Just borrow her for one day only =) hehe...

*Is time to enter casino buddy... No need to go to Nick's house anymore XD...

*Another photo of you and me...

21st signify the beginning of another chapter of life, fill with all kinds of surprises and happiness. I wish you all the best in everything that you are working on, no matter it is academic or *ahem* =). Happy Birthday and hope you enjoy your special day!

P/S: Hope you like the present, buddy. We will always be 'side by side' with you XD. If you get what I mean.

*B.U.D.D.I.E.S. F.O.R.E.V.E.R. =)
